Visiting Fellows
In 2015-16, the Center for Values and Social policy introduced the CVSP Visiting Fellows program. Designed for baby直播app who are on paid sabbatical or who are recently retired, the Visiting Fellows program brings scholars to campus for visits of roughly two to four weeks during which they conduct research, give talks, do guest presentations in undergraduate and graduate classes, and interact in a variety of other ways with baby直播app and students at CU. Visiting Fellows during 2015-16 were (University of South Carolina) in the fall and (Gallaudet University) in the spring. In 2016-17, the Center hosted Bonnie Steinbock (SUNY Albany, Emerita) in the fall and three visitors in the spring: (St. Gallen, Switzerland), (Cambridge), and (Stockholm).
The CVSP Visiting Fellows for 2018-2019 are as follows:
1. Nathan Hanna was recently promoted to Associate Professor at Drexel University. . During his sabbatical, he will be working on a book with the working title Against Punishment: An Argument for Abolition.
2. Cara Nine was recently promoted to Senior Lecturer (on a par with Associate Professor) at University College Cork (Ireland). . During her sabbatical, she will be working on a book manuscript, currently titled, A Philosophy of Territorial Borders, which is a follow up to her 2012 book, Global Justice and Territory (Oxford) which won the 2013 APA Book Prize.
3. Alex Worsnip is an Assistant Professor at UNC Chapel Hill. . During his research leave, he will be working on a project at the intersection of epistemology and political philosophy that asks whether epistemic norms of deference are in tension with democratic ideals of citizenship.
